"Nelly was our first Champion and the start of it all."
Nelly will always be one of the most important dogs in our story. She was our very first homebred Champion, finishing with four majors and even winning Best in Sweepstakes at Potomac in 2007. That milestone was not just about the title, it marked the beginning of what Breckin Labradors would become.
As a producer, Nelly gave us far more than we could have hoped for. She is the dam of dogs like Chip (CH Hyspire Who Dat From Breckin) and Rapper (CH Hyspire Bohemian Rhapsody From Breckin), both of whom carried her type, balance, and easy showmanship forward. Through them, her influence has reached across the country and even overseas, shaping dogs who continue to make their mark in the ring and in breeding programs today.
Nelly is truly the matriarch of Breckin Labradors. So much of what we have now, the dogs we show, the dogs we live with, and the reputation of our kennel, all trace back to her. She was the one who started it all.
